Organised by the Distillers' Charity (the Worshipful Company of Distillers' charitable arm) and Sotheby's, the auction will present 42 lots of ultra-rare and unique Scotch whiskies and experiences, ranging in estimates from £1,000 to £500,000.
Among the lots are:
- A Talisker Cask of Distinction 1978, donated by Diageo, which comes paired with an original artwork by Turner Prize nominee Callum Innes
- A hand-blown glass vessel housing 1.4l of the first-ever Bowmore 51 Year Old release
- A bottling of Littlemill Testament incorporating stone from the original distillery
- The Glencairn Ruby Tribute Blended Scotch Whisky, which has been blended by The Dalmore's master blender. Richard Paterson
The auction is set to be held at Barnbougle Castle on 3 December from 1pm. It will be the first of three to take place under the One of One banner, as part of a six-year partnership between the Distillers' Charity and Sotheby's.
Proceeds of the One of One auction will go toward the Youth Action Fund, created by the Distillers' Charity to support 16- to 25-year-olds on Scotland. the Youth Action Fund works with charities including the Alcohol Education Trust, ENABLE Scotland, Aberdeen Foyer and Street League.
