Buffalo Trace has announced the launch of a pop-up store in Paris ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games. The pop-up retail experience is the second non-US venue from the distillery, which earlier this year opened its first location in London.
Buffalo Trace Distillery in Paris is open now through to 23rd August in the city’s 2nd arrondissement. The store will offer American whiskeys from its brands including Buffalo Trace, Weller 12, Eagle Rare, and Sazerac Rye.
Alongside the store, the Paris pop-up will host samplings of rare Weller Bourbon expressions in 12 Gold, an invitation-only lounge. The lounge will open to select visitors between 26th July–11th August, marking the Olympic Games. During the samplings, Buffalo Trace will give visitors the opportunity to try new release Weller Millennium.
Buffalo Trace fans can enter for a spot at the 12 Gold lounge via Buffalo Trace’s UK/EU Instagram page, where further details will be shared.
Ed Bell, homeplace director, Buffalo Trace Distillery, said: “In May of this year we opened Buffalo Trace London, our distillery’s first international location, and we’re honoured to continue engaging and educating international whiskey fans with our Paris store this summer.
“While everyone is welcome to visit Buffalo Trace Distillery in the United States, we want to make it easier for Paris residents and visitors to learn, explore, try, and fall in love with our whiskeys. We know there will be an increase in foot traffic to the city in July and August, and our prime location will give visitors an excuse to go beyond sporting and cultural events while in town.”
For those not planning a visit to Paris, Buffalo Trace opened its UK brand home in May 2024. The Covent Garden, London venue offers various whiskey tasting experiences.
Buffalo Trace Distillery Paris is open until 23 August.
