With our whiskey cocktail recipe this week, we're continuing our celebrations of Bourbon Heritage Month with this New Fashioned by Kentucky bourbon brand Blade and Bow.
Created in tribute to the historic Stitzel-Weller Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky, Blade and Bow's bourbon is made using a solera system that includes both young, new whiskey and older spirit from Stitzel-Weller.
With this cocktail, Blade and Bow has combined old and new once more, taking a twist on a classic Old Fashioned with the addition of an elderflower liqueur.
Ingredients:
- 1 oz Blade and Bow Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
- 0.5 oz elderflower liqueur
- Splash of soda

- 2 orange slices
- 1 cocktail cherry

- Method:
- Add Blade and Bow and elderflower liqueur to a glass. Muddle one orange slice. Add ice, stir, and top with a splash of soda. Garnish with the second orange slice and a cocktail cherry.
