Compass Box has revealed the second annual special edition of its whisky Hedonism. When it was released in 2000, Hedonism was the first blended grain Scotch whisky on the market, made up of liquid from casks of well-aged grain whisky from distilleries around Scotland.
It is also believed to have been the first whisky to feature a female form on its bottle label. To celebrate this legacy, Compass Box launched a new annual series in 2024, through which it collaborates with female artists to reimagine the original label. Last year, the series debuted with a design by Scottish artist Stephanie Rew.
For the 2025 edition, Compass Box has partnered with Argentinian artist Sofia Bonati. Bonati's design draws inspiration from the magnetic fields that are crucial to the workings of a compass.

Whiskymaking director James Saxon commented: "One of the exciting things about Hedonism becoming a limited annual release is that we not only get to collaborate with a different artist each year to put a new stamp on the label, but it also gives us the opportunity to explore a twist on the whisky itself. The 2025 release is unmistakably Hedonism in style and texture, but with the addition of one ex-Marsala barrique and some casks of previous batches, we push the flavours into new territories."
Compass Box says the whisky has flavours of caramel, peach puree, chocolate mousse, custard, white grape, and vanilla, as well as added red fruit notes from the additional Marsala cask-finished whisky.
The Compass Box Hedonism 2025 release is bottled at 46% ABV and is available fat RRP £85 via compassboxwhisky.com.
