Whisky Magazine has partnered with Taiwan's Kavalan Distillery to give one lucky whisky fan the chance to win £1,000 worth of whisky from the pioneering single malt producer.
The competition is being held as part of celebrations for Whisky Magazine's 25th anniversary. Entrants will have the chance to win £1,000 worth of whisky of their choice from the Kavalan collection, purchased from a retailer in their local market.
The competition is open to anyone, anywhere in the world, but subscribers to Whisky Magazine will be automatically entered into the competition.
The competition is open from 26 July until 6 October. To enter, and to view full terms and conditions, go to whiskymag.com/competition/kavalan.
Founded in 2005 by Taiwanese drinks conglomerate King Car Group, Kavalan is a pioneer of the modern Asian whisky industry. It has earned hundreds of awards for its single malt whiskies, which were developed with support from legendary whisky maker Dr Jim Swan.
Taiwan's climate plays a vital role in the maturation of Kavalan's whiskies. Experiencing sweltering summers and cool winters, and influenced by winds from both the Pacific Ocean and Siberia, the unique blend of heat, humidity and coastal influences at Kavalan Distillery ensure a whisky like no other.
Its maturation methods have helped to reshape the global conversation around whisky quality. Where previously the primary marker of quality was age, Kavalan's processes have proven that well-managed maturity can be a more important measure.
Its whisky portfolio includes the Master's Select, Blender's Select, Concertmaster, and Solist ranges, alongside expressions matured in wine, port, sherry, and bourbon casks. The distillery was also the first to use Dr Swan's shaved, toasted, and recharred (STR) wine cask treatment.
YT Lee, CEO of King Car Group and founder of Kavalan, said: "We are delighted to have a partnership with Whisky Magazine for their 25th anniversary. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to whisky craftsmanship. Just as Kavalan redefines whisky, Whisky Magazine redefines whisky journalism. Together, we celebrate 25 years of excellence and innovation. Here's to an inspiring partnership!"
