Glenfiddich has announced the launch of a limited edition from its Time Re:Imagined series through NFT marketplace BlockBar.
Just 50 bottles of the Glenfiddich 30 Years Old Suspended Time limited edition will be available through BlockBar, which specialises in premium wines and spirits and has marketed NFT offerings for other whisky brands including Dalmore, Ballantine's, and Midleton Very Rare.

Each bottle will be presented in a cylindrical black case with cut-out windows, unique to BlockBar, which is designed to give the impression that the decanter is suspended in mid-air within the case. The whisky itself has been matured in a combination of American and European oak casks.
The Glenfiddich 30 Years Old Suspended Time limited-edition bottles offered on BlockBar can be stored by the company, shipped worldwide, and made available for pick-up, and are eligible for resale on its marketplace.
Brian Kinsman, Glenfiddich malt master, said: “It’s always a balancing act when working with very old single malt. Clearly it has taken three decades for the whisky to mature and develop its character and flavour. My role is to carefully select casks to blend together in a way that elevates each cask to become a final expression greater than the sum of its parts.”
Jamie Ritchie, COO of BlockBar, said: “We are delighted that legendary Scotch whisky maker Glenfiddich has chosen to bring its first-ever limited-edition 30 Years Old Suspended Time to BlockBar. This unique spirit was laid down three decades ago. Today, we are proud to present our BlockBar community with this exquisite single malt in an elegant decanter with a striking black outer display, for a visual experience as captivating as the whisky itself.”
The 30 Years Old Suspended Time limited edition will be available to purchase on blockbar.com from 9am EST on 12 September priced at US$1,075. Existing BlockBar NFT owners will be granted 24 hours' early access from 11 September.
