Glengoyne has announced the release of its White Oak range, marking a departure from the distillery’s usual sherry style. The new range includes Glengoyne White Oak, which will join the brand’s core range, and the limited-edition White Oak 24 Years Old.
The White Oak range is matured in American first fill bourbon and new oak casks, resulting in a lighter flavour profile and colour. Through the change in cask, the distillery is looking to let its classic slow distillation style come to the fore.

New core expression Glengoyne White Oak “embodies the distillery’s spirit character”. Tasting notes provided by Glengoyne highlight sweet, fresh flavours of citrus, red apple, ginger, jam tarts, and tinned pineapple.
Joining the White Oak under the range is Glengoyne White Oak 24 Years Old, an extremely limited-edition release. Matured in American oak and new oak casks, notes from Glengoyne include toasted oak, plum jam, honey, key lime pie, chocolate, and vanilla, for “gently balanced depth”.

I love Glengoyne in bourbon wood — the distillery character balances wonderfully with the vanilla, coconut, and spice from the casks — so have been eager to create expressions that showcase this style.”
Glengoyne recently launched the Solstice Series of summer- and winter-inspired single malts, available exclusively to the Glengoyne Family.
