Jack Daniel's recently opened its first airport duty-free shop at Houston's George Bush Intercontinental airport. The great grand-niece of Jack Daniel's and author Lynne Tolley attended the official opening, singing copies of her new Jack Daniel's cookery book and giving travellers the opportunity to taste some of the recipes.

The Jack Daniel's store's design employs the whiskey brand's famous monochrome colours in its design and in addition to Jack Daniel's, sells branded merchandise, including shirts, hats, jackets and bags.

The shop also stocks the dutyfree exclusive Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Silver Select, and the 'Scenes of Lynchberg' collectors' edition bottle.Richard Rendek, ceo of The Nuance Group America, the retailer running the new outlet, said: "Pairing a worldwide iconic brand and one of the world's busiest airports makes for a sound business decision."
