The Song Circle
On the 13th March, Robert Graham hosted a fundraising event to both give a platform to, and raise funds for, musicians who have been unable to access government support over the last year. Titled ‘The Song Circle’, tickets to the event were £5, with 100% of the entrance fee going to artists in need of financial support.
Robert Graham owner and managing director, Stephen Johnstone, explains how the event came about: “Robert Graham 1874 has been fortunate that our local Governments have supported most businesses here in the UK with various grants and staff furlough schemes. Not everyone has been so lucky, specifically the artists of our world. They have not been able to perform, hold galleries, stun audiences with their art, and our government hasn't done very much to help them either from a financial perspective.
“It's with the above in mind that I have organised a music night featuring our talented guitarists Tom and Al, aka The Beach Crows, who are also bringing in another couple of talented singer-songwriters.
“Thanks again for all your support.”
