Taking place at Irish-owned oyster bar Darby's on Thursday 9 March, the event will include tastings of five rare and premium Irish whiskeys, served alongside a menu of British and Irish dishes.
Irish whiskey educator Charlie McCarthy will lead the tasting, which includes single-cask bottlings from Redbreast and Green Spot, an expression from Bushmills' highly sought-after Causeway Collection, a Teeling whiskey aged in Portuguese oak, and a limited edition from Irish Distillers' experimental Method and Madness range. All the whiskeys were bottled exclusively for the Single Malt Shop.
Spaces are limited to 40, at £50 per head – tickets can be purchased at thesinglemaltshop.com.
The Dublin-based Single Malt Shop is an online retailer specialising in the sale of world whiskies. It partnered with Whisky Magazine in September 2022 for an event to launch the Linkwood 1971 Aged 50 Years, a single-cask release from Gordon & MacPhail's revered Private Collection which was bottled exclusively for the retailer.
