Isle of Arran Distillers is preparing to mark the 30th anniversary of its Lochranza distillery. Since Lochranza ran its first distillation on 29 June 1995, the company behind it has opened Lagg distillery, also on Arran.
To celebrate the milestone, Isle of Arran Distillers will hold a open afternoon at Lochranza Distillery on Sunday 29 June, as part of its annual Malt and Music Festival weekend. The three-day event also includes a dinner, masterclasses, and special tastings.
As well as the festival, Isle of Arran will hold celebrations such as dinners and tastings via its global distributors including in France, Germany, and Japan.
The distillery is also planning a special whisky bottling. First Release Limited Edition 30 Years Old Single Malt will be a 300-bottle release, available exclusively from the Lochranza distillery visitor centre from November 2025.
Lochranza was among the "new wave" of distilleries which opened in the 1990s — the distillery says that the three-decade milestone represents a "coming of age".
