Jack Daniel's has released a 14-year-old Tennessee whiskey, which it says is the oldest age-statement bottling from the brand in 100 years.
The new expression will be released as part of Jack Daniel's annual Aged Series, which this year also includes Batch 3 of Jack Daniel's 12 Years Old Tennessee Whiskey and its 10 Years Old Batch 4.
The 14-year-old whiskey uses the brand's "classic Tennessee whiskey mash bill": 80 per cent corn, 12 per cent malted barley, and 8 per cent rye.
Chris Fletcher, master distiller at the Jack Daniel Distillery, said: “When we released our first Jack Daniel’s 10-year-old Tennessee whiskey a few years ago, we set out to honour the legacy of Jack Daniel himself and replicate the lineup of age-stated whiskeys available during his time.
“This year’s releases build upon that as we re-introduce our new 14-year-old Tennessee Whiskey, the oldest age-statement for Jack Daniel’s in the last 100 years or more. These whiskeys really showcase how a little extra time in our barrels is capable of producing something so special.”
The distillery says the 14 Years Old has notes of cinnamon, butterscotch, leather, pipe tobacco, and aged oak. Jack Daniel's shared that the new 12-year-old release has notes of tobacco, seasoned oak, and butterscotch, while the 10-year-old whiskey is "oak forward" with dark fruit and cocoa.
Jack Daniel's 10 Years Old (48.5% ABV, SRP US$84.99), 12 Years Old (53.5% ABV, SRP US$94.99), and 14 Years Old (63.15% ABV, SRP US$149.99) will be available in limited quantities in the US from February 2025. The 10 Years Old will be rolled out to additional markets from summer 2025.
