The distillery will be making its Heigold Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, a high-rye double-malt bourbon, and its Boxergrail Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey, a sour mash rye, available to spirits enthusiasts in the UK – which is one of the biggest European export markets for American whiskey.
Rabbit Hole's whiskeys are distributed in the UK by Pernod Ricard and will be available through specialist retailers including The Whisky Exchange, Master of Malt and Gordon & MacPhail, as well as on-premise retailers such as Speciality Drinks and Enotria.
Kaveh Zamanian, Rabbit Hole's founder and whiskey maker, said: "Rabbit Hole's launch in the UK is a watershed moment for the brand. Given our exponential growth in the US and our expansion to the UK, Rabbit Hole is poised to take its place on the world stage. We look forward to sharing our heritage-based and innovation-forward approach to whiskey making with spirits connoisseurs throughout the UK and beyond, as our trajectory continues."
Rabbit Hole was founded in Louisville, Kentucky in 2012 and is part of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. As well as the Heigold and Boxergrail, its whiskey range includes Cavehill Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Dareringer Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in PX Sherry Casks. The distillery produces 1.7 million proof gallons of alcohol annually.
Rabbit Hole launched in the western Canadian provinces of British Columbia and Alberta in October 2021, with distribution expanding into Quebec and Ontario later this year. The brand's distribution drive will continue through 2022 and beyond, to markets including Ireland, France, Italy, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan.
