Blended Scotch whisky brand Label 5 has used artificial intelligence (AI) to generate a label design for a new limited edition of its Classic Black blend.
An AI program was used to take snapshots of a computer-generated cityscape at night to create label designs for the Label 5 City Lights edition. As a result, each bottle has a unique label that features one randomly selected section of the vibrant design.
The City Lights edition and campaign have been inspired by Label 5's recent partnerships within the global graffiti artist community, including its sponsorship of this year's Yardworks urban art and graffiti festival in Glasgow.
James Collins, Label 5’s UK marketing manager, said: "Label 5 City Lights Edition is designed to be as unique and creative as the customers who enjoy our whisky. This globally renowned blended Scotch is known for its modern and urban take on whisky, and this new limited edition showcases this to spectacular effect. With the ability to pick from an endless sequence of designs generated by our algorithm, we hope drinkers enjoy their own unique and very special slice of Label 5 history."
Label 5 City Lights (40% ABV) is available exclusively in Morrisons stores throughout the UK, priced at £22.50 for a one-litre bottle. Customers who purchase a bottle will be invited to find their label design on the 'Label 5 skyline' at label5-findyourlabel.com.
