Whisky Magazine is proud to announce that its new film, A Fresh Perspective: Blended Scotch From 1823 To Ardray, is now available to stream free of charge on YouTube. Created in partnership with Ardray, the film delves into the world of blended Scotch and tells the story of this oft-misunderstood category in an unprecedented level of detail.
Following the evolution of blends from the early 1800s to today, the film features interviews with Justine Hazlehurst, co-founder of Fife Whisky Festival and an expert on blended Scotch’s rich history; master blender Calum Fraser, who worked on several single malts and blends such as Johnnie Walker and Ballantine's before joining the team behind Ardray; and Rachel Reid, bar manager of Bar Swift in Borough, London.
Launched by Suntory Global Spirits in 2023, Ardray is the latest 'new-wave' blended Scotch whisky to hit the shelves. Created with malt-whisky drinkers in mind, Ardray is a malt-rich blended Scotch whisky bottled un-chill filtered at 48% ABV, with only its natural colour.
