Richard Hammond, the global automotive icon best known for Top Gear and The Grand Tour, is taking to the world of spirits, including a new curated collection of whisky: Iron Ridge Whisky.
In collaboration with producers Hawkridge Distillers, the new venture is said to mark a fusion of craftsmanship, character, and the adventurous spirit that Hammond has been renowned for throughout his career.
Iron Ridge is named after the hillside near Hammond’s Lake District retreat, and has been matured in American bourbon casks. Tasting notes provided by the producers say the whisky has notes of vanilla, caramel, spice, and fruit.

“Creating these spirits has been a real passion project,” said Hammond. “It’s about taking all that love for craftsmanship and storytelling I’ve picked up in the car world, and pouring it into something people can actually hold, taste, and enjoy. It’s me, just slightly more distilled.”
The new single malt will make its official debut at DriveTribe Live 2025 on 30 August, where attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy an exclusive tasting and meet Hammond in person for a behind-the-scenes look at the journey from concept to bottle. The launch is being supported by the DriveTribe community.
Globally, the whisky — and his new gin brand, Ratio Gin — will be available in September 2025.
