Only one man in the world has tasted it, and that's Colin Scott the man who created Chivas Brothers new luxury blend, the Royal Salute Tribute to Honour bottling. The whiskies are all at least 45 years old and the blend includes rare single malts from Strathisla and Longmorn.

Just 21 bottles have been made and one will be reserved for display in the Royal Salute Vault at Strathisla. Given that the bottles were crafted by Garrard, the top London jewelers, and that each flagon is dressed with more than 400 diamonds and gold and silver embellishments, it seems that this is as close as most whisky drinkers will ever come to this remarkable creation.

Each bottle, which will be accompanied by a special miniature, will be offered for sale by Chivas on a personally targeted basis at a suggested price of $200,000 "plus local taxes and duties" of course.
