It’s the only day of the year that Tamdhu distillery opens up its doors to the general public, with the event scheduled for Thursday 28th April lasting 10am through to 4pm. Tickets are priced at £250 and include a bottle of Dalbeallie V.
Distillery manager Sandy McIntyre will be running an in-depth tour throughout the day, as well as the option of lunch in the ‘Dalbeallie’ train station.
Spanish delicatessen is set to provide a leg of Jamon Iberico for tasting – said to pair salty, nutty ham with Tamdhu’s rich and fruity sherry-matured Single Malt. Brindisa’s product trainer, James Robinson, is set to carve the jamon itself while discussing the craft behind the product. Tamdhu’s global brand ambassador, Gordon Dundas, will lead the whisky tastings and discuss the synergy between the two.
The Spirit of Speyside festival itself begun today, with the last day of the festival Monday 2nd May.
