The Scotch Malt Whisky Society brings the SMWS Home Dining experience to the UK this Valentine’s Day

02 February 2021

Whatever your plans for this Valentine’s Day, the Scotch Malt Whisky Society has the perfect addition to your lockdown celebration of love.

SMWS is bringing its Home Dining experience to UK residents this Valentine’s Day, with the country being asked to stay at home once more.

The kits that bring fine dining to the comfort of your own home are available for delivery across mainland UK on 4 – 5 and 11 – 12 February, at £95 for two people or £165 for four. You can also get your hands on the kits via click and collect from the 28 Queen Street, Edinburgh or 38 Bath Street, Glasgow Members’ Rooms from 4-6 or 11-13 February, priced at £85 for two and £155 for four. Find out more here.

The Feast of Saint Valentine was established in AD 496, to be celebrated annually on 14th February in honour of Saint Valentine of Rome. The team at SMWS from Edinburgh’s 28 Queen Street have prepared a three-course menu, served alongside chef’s-own chocolate truffles and a special Cupid’s Whisky Sour cocktail, and let’s not forget the three expertly paired SMWS drams.

For the true SMWS experience, you will also receive videos from executive head chef James Freeman and SMWS ambassadors, helping you skillfully plate your meal and appreciate your delicious drams.

SMWS have launched dedicated social channels along with the hashtag #smwshomedining to support the growing appreciation of their Home Dining experience:

There is an array of unique whisky experiences available to be enjoyed during this time from the comfort of your own home, with an annual membership starting from £65.
