Speyside distillery The GlenDronach has unveiled the 2023 edition of its Grandeur single malt.
Described by the distillery as one of its most luxurious expressions to date, the Grandeur Batch 12 has been matured for almost 30 years and showcases GlenDronach's signature sherried style from its maturation in oloroso casks.
The limited-edition single malt has been bottled at 49.2% ABV. Each bottle is individually numbered and wax sealed.
The GlenDronach's master blender Dr Rachel Barrie said: “Every year since its inception in 2010, each limited-edition batch of The GlenDronach Grandeur series has been highly anticipated and acclaimed, revered by connoisseurs and malt whisky aficionados for its magnificence of character and full-bodied style.
“Batch 12 is sure to be no exception, with its exceedingly rich, exuberant and full-bodied sherry cask style, crafted from a bespoke selection of our oldest and most magnificent oloroso sherry casks.”
The GlenDronach Grandeur Batch 12 will be available through specialist retailers from 18 September.
The distillery released its oldest whisky to date in 2022, The GlenDronach 50 Years Old, matured in Pedro Ximénez and oloroso sherry casks.
