The Glenlivet has announced the release of a new 14-year-old expression, said to break convention with the aim of encouraging consumers to rethink single malt traditions.
The newest liquid is set to introduce single malt whisky selectively finished in ex-Cognac casks to the Canadian market, said to be a first for The Glenlivet.
The producer has described the dram as having nose notes of honey and apricot jam, a ripe poached pear, and chocolate-dipped raisins mouthfeel, concluded with a smooth and luscious finish.
With an MSRP of $79.95 for 750ml, the drink is set to be available across Canada beginning in June, with the aim of expanding customer choice among alleged new flavour profile demand.
