The newest liquid is set to introduce single malt whisky selectively finished in ex-Cognac casks to the Canadian market, said to be a first for The Glenlivet.
The producer has described the dram as having nose notes of honey and apricot jam, a ripe poached pear, and chocolate-dipped raisins mouthfeel, concluded with a smooth and luscious finish.
With an MSRP of $79.95 for 750ml, the drink is set to be available across Canada beginning in June, with the aim of expanding customer choice among alleged new flavour profile demand.
Alan Winchester, The Glenlivet Master Distiller, said the following on the release: “We crafted The Glenlivet 14-Year-Old with the curious single malt community in mind. "The beauty of the whisky lover is that their palate is always evolving, searching for the next flavour experience, and we're proud to add this delicious aged single malt, with portions selectively finished in ex-cognac casks, to our portfolio. The blend of rich Cognac-cask flavour influences and our signature fruity, smooth style are guaranteed to captivate single malt drinkers looking to explore."
