In a special six-day long virtual online program will see stars of the film joining the Burns Night celebrations from January 22 – 27th, 2021.
The virtual event will include daily screenings of the film, accompanied by an hour-long panel discussion and a Q&A session that will feature different stars of the film each day.
Additionally, a limited-edition one-off tasting kit, which will be sold where licensing permits, has been specifically curated to accompany the film. The kit is available to take viewers on a taste journey while they watch the movie, again, where licensing laws permit.
The special guest joining the Burns Night sessions include master distiller Jim McEwan, Adam Hannett from Bruichladdich, Mark Reynier from Waterford Distillery, Rachel Barrie of Brown-Forman, Stephen Rankin from Gordon & MacPhail, Liam Hughes from Glasgow Distillery, author and whisky consultant Charles Maclean, author and whisky consultant Blair Bowman, and Jenna Elie from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, with more being announced in the coming days.
Greg Swartz, the director of the movie, said: “In the making of the film we had the pleasure of working with some of the legends of the whisky world. We’re thrilled to be able to give our audience the unique opportunity to not only see the film but to also get to experience first-hand what we did when making it: the opportunity to hear the stories, trials, and successes directly from the people who lived it.”
