Whisky blender Turntable Spirits has announced the second whisky in its collaborative series, Collaboration Drop 02: Dingle. The blend brings together Scottish and Irish whiskies in one bottle.
For release, Turntable partnered with Dingle Distillery in County Kerry. Collaboration Drop 02 contains Dingle's single pot still whiskey, aged in oloroso casks. Dingle's spirit was blended with Scotch whiskies matured in ex-rye, Pedro Ximénez sherry, and first-fill bourbon casks.
Turntable co-founder Gordon Stevenson said: "We’re honoured and excited to work with Dingle on this release. Their passion for preserving Irish whiskey tradition aligns perfectly with our ethos of respecting heritage while pushing boundaries in blending."
Turntable's first Collaboration Drop saw the brand partner with Australia's Starward Distillery. Ally Stevenson, Turntable co-founder and blender, reflected: "This blend is a testament to the rich histories of both Irish and Scottish whisky-making. Just as we did with our first Collaboration Drop, which combined Starward's ex-Australian red wine cask whisky with Scotch, we've sought to create a flavour profile that integrates the best of two worlds."
The brand says the new Dingle release is "full-bodied and aromatic" with notes of cigar spices, chocolate raisins, marzipan, nutmeg, and citrus.
Alongside its Collaboration Drop releases, Turntable makes a series of music-inspired blends. Its most recent 'Track' release was Track 6: All My Life, inspired by the Foo Fighters song of the same time and released in September 2024, which Ally Stevenson described as "our most personal blend yet". The whisky was blended from Scotches matured in ex-Woodford, first-fill bourbon, first-fill oloroso sherry, and bourbon casks, with resulting notes of apple crumble, custard-coated walnuts, and cinnamon.
Turntable Spirits' Collaboration Drop 02: Dingle (52% ABV) is available at RRP £85 via specialist retailers.
