The small-batch expression comprises a blend of single malts, matured in ex-Madeira casks. Tasting notes supplied by Wemyss Malts say the whisky has a "succulent flavour" with notes of stone fruit, orange zest, sweet wine, and pastel de nata (Portuguese custard tarts).
Nectar Grove has been bottled, non-chill filtered, at 46% ABV. Only 3,000 bottles will be available, making it one of Wemyss Malts' scarcest expressions to date.
Isabella Wemyss, production director at Wemyss Malts, said: "At Wemyss Malts, we’re passionate about our meticulous approach to cask selection and blending. We go far beyond the familiar territories of region, age and finish.
"We always strive to create exceptional Scotch whiskies that leave a rich and lasting impression and believe Nectar Grove does just that. We’ve spent years expertly selecting the finest single malts from Scotland’s dynamic regions to create a portfolio of beautifully crafted expressions and Nectar Grove is the latest release in our vivid expression collection."
Wemyss Malts' Nectar Grove is available from 18 April at wemyssmalts.com priced at £55. It will also be available through specialist retailers in countries including the UK, Germany, and Canada.
Family-owned independent bottler Wemyss Malts was founded in 2005. Its core Scotch whisky range comprises three expressions that each represent a key whisky flavour profile: The Hive, Spice King, and Peat Chimney.
