Whisky Magazine is launching its Editor's Blend 2023, created in partnership with The Dalmore's master distiller Richard Paterson.
Now in its fifth year, the Whisky Magazine Editor's Blend is created using vattings of whiskies entered into the World Whiskies Awards, which are run by the magazine's parent company Paragraph Publishing and this year saw more than 1,400 entries.
In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Whisky Magazine enlisted the help of Richard 'The Nose' Paterson to craft this year's Editor's Blend. The final recipe contain 15 per cent each of bourbon, rye, and peated single malt, 34 per cent unpeated single malt, 17 per cent blended whisky, and 4 per cent blended grain.
Bethany Brown, Whisky Magazine editor, said: “Creating our annual Editor’s Blend and being able to support charitable causes through its proceeds is a significant point of pride for Whisky Magazine. In our 25th anniversary year, we were determined to produce the best iteration of the Editor’s Blend yet.
“With Richard’s supreme blending skills and expert guidance, we believe we have created a blend that is much greater than the sum of its award-winning parts and reflects the global nature of both Whisky Magazine and the World Whiskies Awards.”
The Whisky Magazine Editor's Blend 2023 (47.7% ABV) is available now from the Speyside Whisky Shop with a recommended price of £100 per 70cl bottle. This edition is limited to just 350 bottles globally.
