Islay whisky maker preparing for Halloween with ghoulish cocktail recipes

Islay whisky maker Smokehead is encouraging fans to indulge in a 'Freakishly Tasty' cocktail this Halloween from its specially designed range.

The new cocktails will be served by Smokehead bar partners to celebrate Halloween - and the Islay single malt producer has released the recipes for fans to give them a try at home.

It comes as part of a Halloween push by Smokehead to promote its whiskies - the Smokehead Original single malt, High Voltage, Sherry Bomb and Rum Rebel - in the on and off-trade, with themed window displays also going up in specialist retailers around the UK.

Ian Weir, Smokehead brand director, said: "Just like Halloween, Smokehead is not for everyone. We're looking to cause a spooky stir in the trade this Halloween with our eye-popping off-trade window displays and scarily tasty cocktails.

"Obviously there have been and may well be further restrictions in the on-trade, but we've had a strong year for Smokehead under tough conditions. We're delighted to see such an eager and enthusiastic response to Smokehead from the trade and will continue to support our partners where we possibly can."
