Blair Athol Distillery is perhaps best known for its use in Bell's whisky, for which about 95% of the whisky produced is used.
Founded in 1798 by John Steward and Robert Robertson, the distillery was originally called Aldour, after the Allt Dour, or the 'burn of the otter'.
Blair Athol closed in 1932, until the distillery was bought by Arthur Bell and Sons and reopened 1949. 1970
saw Blair Athol expand with two additional stills added.Show more
