The Glencadam Distillery was founded in 1825 in the ancient Highland city of Brechin. The distillery changed hands several times over the next 60 years, before being bought by Gilmour Thompson & Co. in 1891. The latter ran the distillery for 50 years before selling to Hiram Walker (which in turn became Allied Domeq). In 2000 Allied closed the distillery and sold it to London-based blender and producer,
Angus Dundee plc in 2003. The firm immediately re-started production at full capacity and re-launched the Glencadam line, which currently includes 10, 15 and 21 year old expressions, as well as Aged 12 Years Old Portwood and Aged 14 Years Oloroso cask finishes, and Aged 30 Years Single Cask.Show more
