One of the original seven distilleries of Dufftown. Glendullan was founded in 1897, by William Williams and Sons, blenders from Aberdeen. The modern Glendullan distillery was constructed in 1972 next door to the previous distillery, which had been constructed in the late 1890s and whose whisky was popular at the court of King Edward VII in 1902. The two distilleries operated as one, and the product
was vatted together until 1985, when the original distillery closed.
Today it is one of the larger distilleries in Diageo's stable, Diageo include it as one of their three Singletons, the other two being Glen Ord and Dufftown. The Singleton of Glendullan is available in the USA while the Singletons of Dufftown and Ord are destined for Europe and Asia, respectively.Show more
