Built in 2006, St. George’s distillery was the first dedicated English distillery for single malt whisky in 100 years. The first mature batch went on sale in 2009, and subsequent release has been given a chronological chapter number denoting the change in the spirit throughout the aging process.
Designed and built by the Nelstrop family, the distillery uses spring water and
local barley for its whisky making process. Iain Henderson of Laphroaig was instrumental in the distillery's early days, before handing over to current distillery manager David Fitt, a brewer from Greene King.Show more
