A slightly more difficult to discern category of aromas, and can be influenced by the amount of esters in the whisky. Sometimes that coconut laden 70s suntan lotion will hit you hard, but then the more delicate peony or sea pinks may take time to emerge.

Leafy

Green leaves, lawn clippings, green sticks, pea pods, fir trees, pine nuts

Mown hay, dry hay, barns, heather flowers, herbal, sage, mulch
