Tamdhu


15 Years Old
Distillation: Tamdhu Distillery, Knockando, Morayshire bottled by the proprietor, 75cl.
Strength: 43% Vol.
Presentation: Main label white background coloured picture of The Tamdhu Burn in the centre, red and black letters. Rear label white background coloured picture of The Tamdhu Burn black letters. Bottle contained within its original presentation carton with cellophane front.
Comment: This Tamdhu 15 Years Old was produced in the 1980s.
Price Guide: £50 to £80.


The Macallan


Special Reserve
Distillation: Macallan Distillery, Craigellachie, Banffshire bottled by the proprietor, 75cl.
Strength: 43% Vol.
Presentation: Tall clear glass bottle, plain white coloured screw cap, main label white background, sketch in colour of Easter Elchies in the centre, gold & black letters, bottle contained within its original presentation carton printed to match the label.
Comment: This Macallan Special Reserve was produced to celebrate the opening of the new offices at Easter Elchies 19th September 1985, and given to the staff of Macallan.
Price Guide: £500 to £600.


Aberlour


Over 10 Years Old
Distillation: Aberlour Distillery, Aberlour, Banffshire bottled by the proprietor, 25 fl. ozs.
Strength: 70 Proof.
Presentation: Green frosted glass cognac style bottle, plain gold coloured capsule over cork stopper, shoulder label gold background black & red letters, main label black & gold background gold & red letters, rear label gold background black & red letters. Bottle contained within its original presentation carton.
Comment: This Aberlour V.O.H.M. (Very Old Highland Malt) was produced in the 1970s.
Price Guide: £60 to £80.


Ardbeg


Provenance
Distillation: Ardbeg Distillery, Port Ellen, Islay, Argyll.1974, bottled by the proprietor, 1997.
Strength: 55.6% Vol.
Presentation: Main label black background, gold patterned edge, gold & white letters, bottom label brown background gold letters, black wax seal in the corner.Bottle contained within its original wooden box together with a certificate of authenticity.
Comment: This Ardbeg Provenance was released for the occasion of the distillery’s revival following its acquisition by Glenmorangie in 1997.
Price Guide: £600 to £700.


Glendronach


1970
Distillation: Glendronach Distillery, Forgue, by Huntly, Aberdeenshire bottled by Cadenheads Ltd. 70cl.
Strength: 58.9% Vol.
Presentation: Tall clear glass bottle, plain gold coloured capsule over cork stopper, main label white background black & red letters sketch of the distillery in the centre, bottom label white background red & black letters. Bottle produced without a presentation carton.
Comment: This bottle of Glendronach 1970 would have been produced by Cadenheads in the very early 1980s just before it moved completely to Campbeltown.
Price Guide: £200 to £250.


Tamnavulin

Distillation: Tamnavulin Distillery, Ballindalloch, Banffshire, bottled by the proprietor, 75cl.
Strength: 53.2% Vol. 93.1 Proof.
Presentation: Tall clear glass bottle, plain gold coloured screw cap, main label white background, black letters, bottle produced without a presentation carton.
Comment: This Tamnavulin-Glenlivet 14 Years Old was produced for a private company in the 1980s.
