Comment: The classic Ardbeg 25 Years Old bottling in the green case included a colourful scroll and could still be purchased from the distillery shop for under £100 as recently as 2004. It only began breaking above £300 consistently at auction during 2011. An auction regular certainly, but its price is rising steeply.

Comment: This classic Ardbeg is a must-try dram for any whisky enthusiast. Boxed versions exist in 70cl and 75cl formats. This can cost between £600-800 at live auction with a greater number of online sales ending with prices topping £1000, so this could be the final year where this can be bought for three figures.

Comment: This 2008 Committee Release came in a larger release of 5,000 bottles originally priced at £45 each. The juice in the bottle was the same as the later official release which was awarded the World Whisky Award in 2010 for Best Single Malt Whisky.

Comment: This 2006 Ardbeg Committee was available in just 1,392 bottles and sold for £30. The vatting was a 2002 sherry butt of Ardbeg combined with three ex-bourbon hogsheads of Very Young Ardbeg. Bottles could be acquired for around £250-300 at auctions last year.
