Cocktail of the Week: The Catoctin Creek Pumpkin Pie Rye

Halloween has gone, but the pumpkin season continues in the lead-up to Thanksgiving — put the jack 'o lantern in a glass with this cocktail recipe from Catoctin Creek!
Ingredients
90 ml Roundstone Rye
30 ml spiced syrup*
1 tbsp pumpkin puree
1 tbsp condensed milk

Method
Shake all ingredients in a shaker until combined, about 30 seconds. Pour over ice, and top with whipped cream if desired.

*For the spiced syrup: In a crockpot, combine ½ cup brown sugar, ½ cup water, the peel of 1 orange, 5-6 cloves, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 1 tsp nutmeg. Cook on low for 30-45 minutes until smooth and fragrant.
