The Rhythm and Booze project has announced the return of Two Guys, Three Drams: The Ultimate Live Blues and Whisky Experience to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2022.

The show is said to blend live stomping blues music, three scotch whiskies and an interactive masterclass on Scotch in a 65-minute production. A number of major names in whisky are sponsoring the show, including Islay’s Lagavulin Distillery, Speyside’s Mortlach and Edinburgh Fringe sponsor Johnnie Walker.

The project is known for its past projects working closely with whisky, including tasting events for Islay’s Caol Ila distillery, and creating the world’s first bass drum made out of an entire Scotch whisky cask, with Lagavulin distillery supplying the barrel.

The groups is created by musicians Felipe Schrieberg (lap steel guitar and vocals) and Paul Archibald (drums and percussion). Both have immersed themselves in the world of whisky as well as music, with Schrieberg having wrote his master’s degree thesis on sustainable distillation practises in whisky production. Both Schrieberg and Archibald are writers for Whisky Magazine.

The show is said to call on the duos backgrounds in music and whisky, with the aims of the show to both entertain the audience as well as educate and inform them about Scotch whisky and its production.

Co-creator Schrieberg said on the return: “We've really missed the Fringe, we can't wait to perform again and we've got some really excellent whiskies lined up for the occasion. We really believe that an ideal night out should feature a combination of whisky and live music, so we're excited to provide that to everyone who's coming to see us.”
Pricing comes in at £18 per ticket (£17 for concession) which includes three whiskies. Tickets are available at the link here.
