Tasting notes
Taster   Laura Foster
Nose: Bright and floral, with clementines, bergamot, oranges and honeysuckle. Dust in the background. Water brings out something leafy.
Palate: Sea salt-crusted nectarine served with Chantilly cream, washed down with malty beer, before chewing on a stick of charcoal.
Finish: The salt turns into an umami finish.
Comment: Water washes out some of the interesting characters. The palate wasn’t as expressive as the nose, but is still pleasant.

Taster   Mark Newton
Nose: Parma Violets. Rather floral – sweet jasmine, with fabric softener. Increasingly sweet in fact – fudge, Muscatel wine, balanced by dried tea leaves, and cut grass.
Palate: Not as sweet as the nose suggested, with a nice cereal core. Tinned fruit salad in syrup. Pineapple, grapefruit, apricots. Kiwi fruit and toffee fudge. Salted caramel.
Finish: Long and winey, with hints of marzipan, ground almonds and ginger.
Comment: This offers something a bit different with its refreshing, heavy floral character.
