Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Spearmint chews, cola sweets, orange sherbet, honey and warm buttered cornbread. A sort of Old Demerara rum note to this as well. In time espresso and coffee grinds.
Palate: The alcohol bites but is tempered by a lush sweetness. Dark treacle and ripe bananas on a barbeque. Some tropical fruits are here too.
Finish: Oak grip, short and sweet.
Comment: Needs a little water to open out properly but the baby has certainly been brought up properly.
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Intense. Prickly. Demerara sugar, molasses. Crab apples. New leather. Bee-waxed floor. In time, getting biscuity. With a hazelnut touch.
Palate: Surprisingly sweet giving the alcohol strength. Raisins and molasses. A rumcharacter. Cooked bananas.
Finish: Fizzy, slightly oaky but there is fruit too, bananas!
Comment: Seems to have a rum influence. A finish? No it is a corn American whiskey? I wouldn't have guessed. A rich aromatic profile and a pleasantly surprising alcohol mastering.
