Tasting notes

Taster Martine Nouet

Nose: Intense,malty. Straw. Farm scent. A restrained creosote note. Unripe pear. Garden mint. A light whiff of sea air.
Palate: Sweet and enticing. Lovely mix of summer fruit. Pear (but ripe this time), watermelon. A spicy burst which dries the palate.
Finish: Clean and dry.
Comment: As lively as a rustle of spring. The aromatic palette is displayed like a watercolour painting. Multilayered and harmonious.

Taster Dave Broom

Nose: Some nose burn,turfy smoke,green ferns spattered with dried tar. Opens into cereal/mash with a hint of almond and halibut oil.
Palate: A cough of cigarette smoke then burning leaves. More phenols than on the nose with good balance betweensmoke and malt.
Finish: Quite dry and crisp.
Comment: Ordered and enjoyable.
