Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Oloroso, liquorice, rooty, grassy.
Palate: Very sweet, toffeeish start. Honey. Very distinct lemony notes. Long flavour development to peatiness, cut-grass, vanilla and fresh oak.
Finish: Very long. Cut-grass, peat, smoke, oak.
Comment: Beautiful interplay and balance.

Taster   Doug McIvor
Nose: Soft and honeyed with gentle traces of liquorice and stronger peat emerging through sherry notes.
Palate: Light, honeyed and playfully viscous; leading eventually to more liquorice and peat.
Finish: Disappointingly short. Perhaps over-sherried for such a delicate malt. The peat cuts in sharply to dominate the finish.
Comment: More complex than the 15 Years Old but somehow lacks the balance and lingering charm.
