Tasting notes
Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: The aromas are quite herbal and almost rye-like with hints of fresh barley, earth, vanilla and heather smoke. Aromatic and full with a developing granity note.
Palate: Not quite as complex as there is a little more oak which in combination with the oils dampen. However, it’s lightly creamy with pleasant barley and a subtle granity andherbal middle.
Finish: Long, granity and slightly mouth-watering with fragrant barley and a gentle heathery after-taste.
Comment: A good blend showing plenty of Highland character.

Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Not a huge amount going on with the nose, but a direct hit of vanilla and cloves.
Palate: A mixture of classic Scotch flavours (vanilla, oak, allspice) which don’t quite integrate properly leaving the palate feeling unbalanced and out of tune, but it works much better with water.
Finish: Some foam banana penny sweets and icing sugar.
Comment: This will go down well paired as a half-and-half. Not one for cradling in an armchair but one for fast pouring.
