Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Start slightly sulphury with hints of ripe soft cheese. Pretty funky and leathery. With water out comes a mix of wax, moss and sandalwood.
Palate: Much better than the nose. A hot paprika burn which starts in the middle of the palate and runs to the finish.
Finish: Mossy.
Comment: A palatable whisky which comes as some relief after the initially alarming nose.
7.8
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Tangy, oak speaks out. Earthy, damp cellar. Mushrooms. Pine cones. Opens up on creamy notes. Apples cooked in butter.
Palate: Sweet at start then oak quickly comes on stage. Slight astringency. Mixed spices.
Finish: Dry, nutty with a touch of milk chocolate. A spicy hint.
Comment: Wood bosses around. Lacks subtlety and complexity. Leaves a burning sensation.
