Tasting notes
Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: A little neutral but gently fragrant with hints of herbal spirit. Quite grainy whisky-like with a touch of rum-like dried fruit, some corn-like notes and a touch of toffee.
Palate: Soft and toffeed with some developing, lightly oiled Guyana-esque dried fruit. Pretty simple but pleasantly deep.
Finish: Long and gently spiced with the dried fruit becoming slightly fragrant in character and a herbal grainy nip coming through.
Comment: Unencumbered by complexity, but it’s a pleasant quaffer, as they say.

Taster   Sara Smith
Nose: Light and fruity, pear and rhubarb, with undertones of new make spirit. Over time, the fruit notes seem more stewed, with hints of vanilla and ginger tea.
Palate: Well-rounded and sweet, with a solid warmth to it. Notes of rolled oats and tart fruit to start, followed by dry wood and warm spices.
Finish: A finish of liquorice root, soda water, and desiccated coconut.
Comment: This is a whisky with a tropical feel to it – bright and refreshing; equally good served neat or with soda.
