Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Like sitting in a cinema, all popcorn, nachos and sweets. Something slightly pine forest to it and a hint of mint.
Palate: Full of spices and a good whack of oak. Coconut creams. Well balanced with the spices coming to the fore.
Finish: Long, lush and sweet.
Comment: Shows that young, ish, grain can be a serious contender. Grain, the industry's little secret? I think so.
8.7
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Fat. Hot, buttered popcorn with lots of crème brûlée and ripe banana dipped in chocolate. Succulent with a jag of spruce.
Palate: Gentle and sweet with a touch of ginger. The spiciness and grip from oakhelps to balance.
Finish: Clean and sweet.
Comment: A very stylish grain which is showing grip and character rather than justgetting sweeter and flabbier with age.
