Tasting notes
Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Gritty wood spices and no shortage of tannins, malt, barley and balancing creamy oak. The aromas are showing some maturity with an almost Armagnac-esque character and with time some lovely, dusty coffee notes.
Palate: A lovely melange of juicy barley, honey and light oxidation notes. Again the oak is mature and dusty with a touch of coffee and herbs. Seriously deep with a developing minerality.
Finish: Long and very stony with lingering herbal notes.
Comment: A beautiful, mature whisky.

Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Do we have a time traveller in our midst? This reminds me of old White Horse from the early 80s; slightly bitter caramel, but tempered with a lovely waft of floral smoke and vanilla custard tarts with nutmeg.
Palate: Another nutty one: hazelnuts, some salted peanut notes, cream soda, caramel and fresh butter.
Finish: A little short, but sweet nonetheless.
Comment: Someone’s been behind the wheel of the Delorean here. Either that or they have put something very interesting together.
