Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Fragrant and rich. Exotic wood. Sandalwood. Fading rose. Orangepeel. Nutmeg, hint of cinnamon. Like a dusty pot-pourri. Fruit come in waves.Cooked first, damson plum jam, thedried. Apple peel, raisins.
Palate: Crisp but not dry. A well balanced sweetness releasing luscious fruitflavours and spices.
Finish: Full, concentrated, with a slight astringency. Peppery too.
Comment: A very well-balanced whiskey. The alcohol is perfectly mastered.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Clean, medium-rich and sweet. Golden syrup, caramel, preserved lemon and a little waxiness , underpinned by cooked fruit, herbs shading into pineand sanded wood.
Palate: cumin and coriander and black cherry. Sweet and substantial.
Finish: Smoky wood.
Comment: Interesting how a few years ago an 8yo bourbon would have been considered old, yet here you can still pick put 'youthful' vibrancy.
