Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: At first butterscotch Angel Delight, Harrogate toffee and some milk chocolate and raisins. A little whiff of smoke too.
Palate: Big and mouth coating with that caramel, toffee sweetness. There are also plenty of dried fruits and a little hint of fresh ground coffee.
Finish: Long and warming, spiced.
Comment: A lovely example of a balanced aged whisky.

Taster   Gavin D. Smith
Nose: Wood polish, new leather and brittle toffee. Over-ripe bananas and freshly cut broccoli. Coal fires with time.
Palate: Rich yet elegant. Viscous. Molasses and dried fruits, Becoming drier in the mouth.
Finish: Long, with cocoa powder and developing tannins.
Comment: Manages to retain its delicacy despite the big sherry notes.
