Tasting notes

Taster Martine Nouet

Nose: Oaky. Damp wood.Hint of mushrooms. Then sweeter notes.
Palate: Round and smooth.Verysweet. And then a contrasting bitterness which floods into the mouth.
Finish: Oaky.Bitter. Walnut stain.
Comment: Some sort of a finish? It overwhelms the distillery character. Too bad, because the core is good.

Nose: Rootsy,horse chestnut casing,vegetal.
Palate: Apple pips,sharp citrus fruits then astringency from tannins, suggesting age.
Finish: Sharp spice,long and thrusting.
Comment: Okay,but this is the malt equivalent of the choreography in X Factor; toomuch going on to the point of distraction
