Tasting notes

Taster Chris Goodrum

Nose: Tropical pineapple, melon, apricot, mango and gorgeous, dusty, mature, American oak. Hints of white chocolate, barley, lime, pear, malt and a salty minerality.
Palate: More minerally with acacia honey, crunchy honeycomb, barley and tropical fruit. The citrus and alcohol keeps the sweetness in check but the oak powers through with praline and spice.
Finish: Long and crisp with honey coated white fruits, oak, praline and drying spice.
Comment: Not enough space to describe the brilliance of this whisky!

Taster Joel Harrison

Nose: That dusty old smell of old whisky which gives sandalwood, cherry stones and rich vanilla mixed with soft leather, tobacco smoke and sawdust. Simple but brilliant.
Palate: Again, unmistakably old style whisky. Dusty, sandalwood, it’s like walking into a men’s outfitters on Jermyn Street who also make their own eau de toilette for only the wealthiest of men.
Finish: Delicate oak gives this a balance rarely found.
Comment: Classic style whisky. If you want to know why, buy and try.
