Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: The oak dominates at first then comes sweet toffee and caramac bars. Peat comes in time, reminiscent of digging on a peat moor, a strong ploughed field note.
Palate: That toffee comes through, a melted sugar and butter note, has a slightly oily, mouth-coating quality. The peat unfurls at the end.
Finish: Short and sweet, with a crisp edge.
Comment: An easy drinker, perfect for this time of year.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Oaky. Leather with a musty touch. Young oak. Sawdust. Get sweeter. Vanilla toffee. Medlars. Earthy. Distant peat aroma.
Palate: Sweet. Quite thick texture. Crème caramel.
Finish: Drier with a mild oaky grip.
Comment: This whisky lacks character. Sweet and floppy. The nose lead me to expect more consistency.
