Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Fragrant. Malty and fruity combined with well integrated oak. Toffee, mixed dried fruit. Dates and walnuts. With water a earthy touch.
Palate: Smooth and velvety. The same fruit and oak combination as on the nose. A bit watery at midpalate. Medlars, coffee toffee. Getting drier and nutty.
Finish: Soft, nutty. Walnuts. Touch of ground ginger as well.
Comment: Well balanced and pleasant but it would have delivered much more at ahigher strength.
7.8
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Fruity with a distinct spiciness. A general fleshiness backed with integrated oak, thick honey and the lovely smell of a cowshed. Broad and rich but there's a slightly greasy note which pulls it down.
Palate: The nose is intriguing, but the palate is flat absolutely no life to it.
Finish: Slips away unnoticed.
Comment: Maybe a faulty sample for this has no energy at all.
